Greetings,
On behalf of the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Zeta Pi Omega Chapter - welcome to our website. This year, 2021, Zeta Pi Omega Chapter will celebrate 66 years of service to the Fayetteville and surrounding areas. We are presently 112 members strong, working to continue the ideals and goals of our thirteen charter members.
Founded in 1908 by nine Howard University co-eds, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is the first African American Greek-lettered sorority. Throughout the years Alpha Kappa Alpha women have continued to work to be of service to all mankind, by improving the communities in which they live.
Our current International President is Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover. Dr. Glover’s 2018-2022 International Program initiative is “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service.” This is a call to service for all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. The Five Targets of “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service”, are:
Target 1: HBCU for Life: A Call to Action
Target 2: Women’s Healthcare and Wellness
Target 3: Building Your Economic Legacy
Target 4: The Arts!
Target 5: Global Impact
As we remain within this unprecedented COVID-19 health crisis, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and Zeta Pi Omega Chapter are actively seeking ways to assist and be of service to our community, state, nation and world. Let us continue to pray for our nation and the world during this pandemic and follow the direction of the healthcare experts! Remembering, that this too shall pass!
In Sisterly Service,
Beverly Grayman-Rich
